HOW IT WORKS

MEDICARE

At present you are not entitled to medicare rebates when seeing a counsellor or psychotherapist. The advantage of this is that your consultations are completely private and you are not registered on any system.

The Medicare plan is not free in the first instance and so you will be out of pocket. I can adjust my fee schedule around this ‘out of pocket ‘ amount.

MENTAL HEALTH CARE PLANS:

If you have one I am happy and able to follow a MHCP. There is no Medicare rebate on my fee. However, my fee often works out about the same as the gap payment paid to a psychologist or MH Social Worker.

If relationship or family counselling is requested by an individual being counselled, fees can be negotiated prior to making a booking.

The first session will be 1.5hrs long. Subsequent sessions are 1 hr.

REBATES:

Some private health plans cover counselling and psychotherapy. Medibank Private, AHM and NDIS rebates may apply, check with your provider to see if you are eligible.

Job Keeper and Centrelink incomes qualify for reduced rates.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellation fees of 30% may apply for cancellations made with 24hrs.

30% of fees will be charged for no-shows.
